Organic food expert Jim Slama will be joining me for EcoChat this Monday night. As the President and Founder of FAMILYFARMED.ORG, Slama has been intimately involved in developing local food systems for more than a decade.
Slama will teach us about different models of community supported agriculture that you can find in your city or town and give you advice about participating more meaningfully in the organic food market. In other words, if you don't know the difference between a farmer's market and a co-op, you should join this chat. And if you do, you should join this chat to help educate others. :)
The show comes right before Slama debuts his fifth annual Family Farmed Expo in Chicago. The event brings consumers, food producers and trade buyers together to support the growth of local, sustainable food systems at the University of Illinois at Chicago March 11-13.
Check out this preview clip I put together to help promote the event.
