The Dirty Dozen

I've always wondered, which food is best bought organic? A friend from OrganicNation TV hooked me up with a list from the Environmental Working Group of the most toxic fruits and vegetables according to their likelihood to harbor pesticide residue- even after being rinsed and peeled.

Here is what EWG calls the "Dirty Dozen"- the most easily contaminated of all! (Listed here from most to least tainted.)

Peach

Apple

Sweet Bell Pepper

Celery

Nectarine

Strawberry

Cherry

Kale

Lettuce

Imported Grapes

Carrot

Pear

Was your favorite food on the list? If not, find out WHERE IT RANKS and learn more about the methodology behind the Shopper's Guide to Pesticides.
