PIVOT BOUTIQUE held its last in-store event tonight, featuring a LARA MILLER trunk show. The Fulton Market storefront will be closing at the end of the month, but that doesn't mean owner Jessa Brinkmeyer is fading from Chicago's green scene. The Pivot brand will remain active in the eco-fashion industry. Jessa plans to continue online sales of sustainable products and participate in local green events. Right now Pivot's fall line is selling for up to 90% off the original retail price, so stop by soon to take advantage of this steal and say goodbye to one of Chicago's best.
Tonight I was able to snag a lovely fall DRESS by SPUN, made of organic cotton. I also picked up a reusable glass bottle for work. It was awesome to meet Lara Miller, too. Hopefully she'll be up for an interview and we can all learn a little more from her about sustainable living.
To get the conversation started: If you were to ask Lara Miller a question about eco-living, what would it be?
Alicia on The Mike Nowak Show
Chicago horticulture expert Mike Nowak invited me on his radio show to discuss Earth Hour. LISTEN HERE. I'm about 3/4 of the way into the recording.
